Synopsis:

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel—The Vipers.

They run this town and everyone in it. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses.

Yes, sold me.

They own me now.

I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant. These men, they look at me with longing. Their scarred, blood-stained hands holding me tight. They want everything I am, everything I have to give, and won’t stop until they get just that. They can own my body, but they will never have my heart.

The Vipers? I’m going to make them regret the day they took me.

This girl? She bites too.

Review:

This book is over 600 pages... 600! I read to about 300 pages and then House of Sky and Breath was delivered so I sacked it off to read that! I didn't pick it back up for a while but I wanted to finish it as it was kindly gifted to me by a friend! If this wasn't so hyped up on booktok / booksta, I don't think i'd have even thought about reading it!

My thoughts? the smut was very intense and graphic which, let's be honest, that's the only reason I wanted to read it!! The actual story itself had no depth or direction. The break down basically is;

• Roxy gets sold to the Vipers by her Dad
• The Vipers all want Roxy / Roxy wants all of the Vipers

That is basically it. There is no character development, nothing about their pasts & how they become the most notorious men in the city. i don't think the city name was even mentioned!!! ( I could be wrong) I just wasn't drawn in & really struggled to finish it. I felt like i was back in college when I had to finish a book I really didn't enjoy! it becomes a chore rather than an enjoyment! HOSAB is around 800 pages and I finished that in 4 days - goes to show if you enjoy a book, nothing will stop you!

I can't really say more than that - I am glad I got round to reading it but I need to seriously stop following hyped up books on booktok / booksta as I have been burnt a few times now!
